[VIDEO]: Hank from SciShow explains the power of Solar Energy

Disclaimer: Hank mentions a Watt is a unit of energy. He says this 30 seconds into the video.  This statement isn’t true since energy is NOT measured in Watts. A Watt is rate of energy transfer per unit time (known as power).

I think what he meant was that you would receive 1500 Joules of energy per second. So in a whole year (assuming 12 hours exposure per day) you would receive:

(365x12x60x60) x 1500J = 23,652,000KJ of ENERGY
